BEFORE                                                                                    AFTER 1973 Jawa 890 2-valve    Fugly is a Jawa 890 that Chad and I bought from Bill Cody in 2003. This bike really needed some help. There were  rumors at the time that Vintage Speedway might be coming in 2004. I restored the bike so that we could be ready if indeed Vintage Speedway did take place. While there have only been two events where the Vintage Speedway bikes have run (both at Ventura, California) Chad has finished on the podium each time.   See the before and after photos and you will realize how Fugly got his name.
